It presents two different sides of human development. On one side population ageing is described as triumph of humanity to achieve increased life expectancy and the other side is population ageing raises psycho-socio-economic, problems of the old person's posesing the great challenge for policy makers and planners. The issue of population ageing in advanced countries is the out come of prosperity whereas developing countries it is the out come of poverty and inequality.
