The construction of dam has brought many benefits. E.g. Water supply for irrigation. Because of irrigation system farmers are taking cash-crops. Therefore it is found that there is a gradual development in socio-economic conditions. Along with economical progress dam has caused many environmental crises, such as water logging, Salinity of land, land degradation, deforestation, and encroachment of wild animals, crop diseases and land sliding and so on.
