Scientometrics are playing an increasingly important role in facilitating the understanding of the research fields as well as the research topics within them. This paper discusses about the emergence of Sciento metrics and its allied metrics. It further deals with the theoretical details and general overview about the genre that plays a significant role in all disciplines including interdisciplinary research platforms.
