Abstract :
Postcolonial is a set of theories in philosophy, film, political sciences and literature that deal with the cultural legacy of colonial rule. Post literature addresses the problems and consequences of the decolonization of a country and of a nation, especially the political and cultural independence of formally subjugated colonial people. Most of the Arundhati Roy novels deal with social and cultural problems. In one of her novel, she portrayed about social discrimination. This paper discusses about theme of social discrimination, feministic aspects male chauvinism and socio psychological aspects in her first novel “The God of Small Things”.
