A diagnostic test is a test that is used to reveal an individual's weaknesses and strengths in a certain course ofstudy. The tests are designed to analyse individual's performanceand the causes of learning difficulty. Another purpose ofdiagnostic testing is to furnish continuous specific information in order that learning activities may be most productive of desirableoutcomes.It would also help teachers to detect what is wrong with their teaching and improve it. This paper focuses on a study conducted on 55 Student teachers with purpose to measure their strengths and weakness in English grammar.
