Literacy being a part of education is the key to socio-economic progress as well as human resource development. The present work aimed at assessing the spatial variation in terms of literacy and their related problems among the blocks of Hooghly District. The study reveals that the area with higher socio-economic prospect showing higher literacy rate and are ignorant to educational attributes related with selected parameters among various pockets of the district. | Keywords : | | |
