Empirical analysis of crop combinations, ranking and agricultural efficiency can be the basis of delineation of agricultural regions in micro and macro level. Agriculture is the backbone of the economy of the district of Jalpaiguri and the land use pattern quite differs from that of West Bengal due to its diversity in relief and climate.
