| Now a days, transportation and communication facilities have become very important for the overall development of a region. Solapur city occupies a very important position in Maharashtra. It is a sixth largest city in Maharashtra. There is a great need of planned and wide roads for smooth transportation of the city. Road transportation, railway transportation, post and telegraph offices and telephone play a very vital role in the development of Solapur city.
