The horticulture sector is the major contribution to the agriculture sector GDP in India. The horticulture goods and processed products are very popular in national and international markets. The production of horticulture goods had increased, and then the horticulture plays a key role in agriculture exports in India. The main objective of the study is to examine the performance of horticulture exports and imports in India. In this study the secondary source of data (2001-2002 to 2010-2011(p)) were used and simple statistical tools adopted. The major findings of the study are, the balance of trade was surplus even though imports increased. The percentage of horticulture exports were increased in the agriculture exports from 1991-92 to 2009-10. But percentages of horticulture exports were slightly decreased in National Exports. | Keywords : | | |
