This study aims to determine trends in annual, monsoon month-wise and meteorological region-wise in India. The data used consists of mean month-wise and region-wise rainfall for the period 1901-2010. Non-parametric statistical tools such as Sen's estimator of slope and Mann-Kendall trend test was used to estimate the magnitude of trend. The rainfall in the monsoon months: July, August and September showed downward trend. Out of four meteorological regions, three regions showed downward trend.
