In South Asia the idea of regional economic cooperation came in to existence in 1980's. On the proposal of Bangladesh, SAARC was formed as a champion of regional cooperation in South Asia. It was the output of the positive attitude of the South Asian Countries. It is working as a milestone for the regional cooperation among South Asian countries.
