The heart of Buddhist doctrines is that practical experience is more important than theoretical and intellectual appreciation. This paper will mainly investigate the following statements. First this study will discuss the concept of spiritual liberation and the primary objective of meditation .Secondly it will explore the methods of Theravada Buddhist meditation and the progress of insight.
