Fifty identified learning disabled and fifty non-learning disabled children were administered the Misra's (1986) Home Environment Inventory to assess their home environment. The results were analyzed according to their age groups and gender. Learning disability is recognized as a diverse, heterogeneous disorder that can affect different aspects of an individual's life such as academic success, motor or perceptual functioning and social adaptation. Learning disabled individuals are found across all ages, socio economic levels and races, and their problems range from mild to severe. An incidence of learning disabilities in primary school children is around 10 to 15 percent in India. | Keywords : | | |
