The Indian print media’s liberal and reformist legacy of the pre-independence period has helped address women’s issues. journalists have striven hard to give women's issues a legitimacy so as to bring them within the ambit of "what makes news." yet, several media researches conducted over a period of time continue to reveal that most women's issues remain within the confines of inside pages and analyzed only if they have socio-political implications and not independently as women’s issues.
