The Government of India has enacted laws, made policies from time to time for all round development of women''s personality and to provide them equal opportunity, dignity and human rights in all aspects of their life. Indian judiciary is also playing a vital role in protecting women’s rights. Further, India has ratified various Conventions and human rights instruments committed to secure equal rights for women.
